There are many different ways a novice web designer can create a beautiful informative website without having any experience with cascading style sheets or basic HTML. Below, I’m going to list ways of obtaining and creating your very own website.

There are many web design packages on the internet today. All you have to do is pick and choose which is best for you. If you aren’t a professional and don’t wish to deal with hosting issues, then using a website template package could very well be for you. There are many companies such as Dotster, Homestead, or Lunarpages where you have your pick of a variety of templates. All that you are required to do next is to simply click, drag and drop, then type in your own words for your site. This is most definitely for someone with absolutely no knowledge of web design. Your only task is to follow simple directions. This service allows you to upload your own pictures into your website as well.

Another way of designing your own website is to purchase Coffee Cup Visual Site Designer or another HTML editor. Yes of course it is possible! There are a lot of legitimate opportunities to work at home. Here are the most popular choices for a work at home mother or father:

1) Create your own website, such as a blog or resource site

2) Freelancer in writing, web design, video editing, programming, etc.

3) Affiliate marketer or product consultant

4) Starting your own business

5) Work for another company at home

The first 4 options are extremely flexible and allow you to set your own hours, but can be time consuming while trying to start up. The last option is a little harder locate, but will most liekly have a schedule and a reliable source of income in the long run.

As for all work at home jobs being scams, that is not true. What is true is that a lot of work at home ads you see on Craigslist or in your local newspapers, do not turn out to be legitimate opportunities to work at home. You must learn to recognize the pattern that those companies use to try to get you into their loop. If they ask for any money or startup costs, you probably want to skip that one.

WAHM Consultants, which started in 2003 has always been directory of all things work at home, but we have upgraded to a wordpress blogging platform to bring you more information easier and quicker. Over the next month we plan to do a lot of updating, converting the old pages into the new platform and reopening our work at home mom directory.
